In Haiku, the capital of the island province of Hainan, a popular tourist destination in the south of China, a new free trade zone is currently being created. The Chinese energy corporation, Sinopec, will establish its new headquarters here. With the planned 150-meter-high office tower, the corporation is able to fulfil its ambition for appropriate representation in the urban context and for high-quality workplaces. With its height and hexagonal shape—with three slightly concave main facades—the tower will become a stand-out building in the city landscape.
