Usse Chateau, situated in the French commune Rigny-Usse, bears a strong resemblance to castles depicted in fairy tales.
Built upon the skeleton of an 11th century fortress, the current structure is the influence of the fable, Sleeping Beauty. It is said that the author Charles Perrault was inspired by the enchanting architecture and surrounding forest. Because of its historic fable significance, it was also used as model during Walt Disney's design of Disneyland's Cinderella Castle.
