The spirit of oppression and decay is enclosed inside the Museum space, surrounded by thick walls - a kind of a shield which holds attacks and repressions back.

The interweaving of the current exhibitions inside with the surrounding landscape and existing architecture underlies the main idea of this modern museum which will become a member of Gdansk’s special buildings, alongside the Church and the City Hall.
