The United Kingdom Centre for Medical Research and Innovation (UKCMRI) will provide a world-leading biomedical research institute in London. The client is an innovative partnership initiated by four of the world's most influential scientific organisations: Medical Research Council, Cancer Research UK, The Wellcome Trust and UCL (University College London); recently joined by Imperial College and Kings College. The proposed development will perform two distinct but related tasks - it will create a unique platform for medical research; and it will contribute to the regeneration of a long neglected fragment of London's urban fabric.
