The architecture of Germany has a long, rich and diverse history. It is characterized by a high degree of regional diversity,
caused by centuries of fragmentation of Germany into principalities and kingdoms. This made for a heterogeneous and diverse architectural style, with architectural differences even from town to town. One of this smaller town is Muhlhausen in Thuringia. It is one of the oldest towns in Thuringia which dates back more than 1000 years.
