White City masterplan, Baku, Azerbaijan (3D animation)
The White City development project is being undertaken by the Azerbaijan Development Company (ADEC).
Atkins was commissioned to prepare an overall strategic masterplan for the 220 hectare site, which is located on the eastern edge of the capital city of Baku.
The masterplan provides a total of 4,800,000m2 of gross floor area, of which 75% will be for residential use. It will be populated by a community of 50,000 people, provide homes for 19,700 households and jobs for close to 48,000 people.
