Hellinikon project, Athens, Greece (3D video)
There are countless abandoned structures around the globe, and some of them are starting to get makeovers to help boost local economies.
One of those properties is the Hellinikon Airport in Greece and it's gearing up to get a billion dollar facelift.
It's a big project, and they’ve brought in a big name to tackle it with Norman Robert Foster. Foster and his company are responsible for some amazing structures including the Hearst Tower, Wembley Stadium, and the Sage Gateshead. As you’d expect, the plans are ambitious and there are plans for a huge aquarium, sports venues, a park, and the highest apartment tower in the Mediterranean.
