Carson's City Council has unanimously approved the privately financed $1.7 billion stadium intended to be the new home of two NFL teams (Chargers and Raiders) in Los Angeles, CA.
The flowing, metallic modern stadium features a horseshoe-shaped seating arrangement that is open on one end - similar to the historic LA Coliseum. At the center of the open peristyle end is a tower of about 120 feet that will become a signature feature for each team. The open and airy design celebrates includes 65,000 spectator seats and celebrates the history and enthusiasm of football in Los Angeles.
