Project Architect
13/06/2016James Gorst Architects is an award winning practice based in Bloomsbury, London and we are looking for experienced and talented individuals to join our team.
We specialise in bespoke high end residential and commercial projects, ranging from one off new build houses to the restoration of Listed Buildings.
Due to our increasing workload, we need skilled Part 3 Architects and Experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistants with all round experience and design skills. The successful applicant will be involved in the production information and contract administration for a new house overlooking Hampstead Heath:
- Minimum 3 years post Part 2 professional experience.
- Ability to work at all RIBA stages.
- Understanding of contract administration using standard JCT forms.
- Competent using Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp.
- Excellent design, communication and presentation skills.
- Construction experience, with a good understanding of UK building regulations and the ability to produce quality technical and production details.
We are an established design led practice - our work is focused on the construction and craftsmanship of bespoke architecture. We can offer a competitive salary and further training to the successful applicant.

Senior Technical Architect
13/06/2016- Minimum experience: 15 years.
- Related degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.
- Experience with large scale resort projects.
- Experience with US and Overseas buildings.
- Strong understanding of drawings and specs integration.
- Understanding of fast-track multiple-phased document releases.
- Understanding of interior architectural design.
- Comfort working with designers and mentoring junior staff.
- Experience with current drawing software Revit and AutoCAD.
- Strong ability to coordinate and integrate multidiscipline consultants.
- Working knowledge of model building codes.
- Professional license preferred.
