Founded in 1985, Gertler & Wente Architects is a 26-person architectural and interior design firm with a diverse portfolio of work, including institutional, high-end retail, healthcare, and residential projects. We are currently looking for a project architect with extensive high-end residential experience (5- 7 years minimum), with specific experience on rigorously-designed and highly-detailed single-family houses in NY, CT., and MA.

Successful candidates will be graduates of accredited architectural programs (minimum of a Bachelor in Architecture), self-motivated, strong problem solvers, with a particular strength in design development and construction documentation/ detailing. Working under a seasoned project manager with extensive residential experience, this is a great opportunity for professional development.

We are a newly founded architecture firm located in Culver City, CA. The principals gained experience working with firms such as Marmol Radziner, Diller Scofidio + Renfro, Grimshaw Architects and the Rockwell Group. We are currently working on residential and workplace projects in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, the Hollywood Hills and San Francisco. Our aesthetic is rooted in Southern California modernism, with an appreciation for Japanese and Scandinavian design. We are fortunate to have a clientele that shares our vision.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a Junior Designer with the following qualifications:

- Enthusiastic self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with Revit is required.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness are a must 0-3 years of experience.
- Excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills.
- A degree from an accredited architecture program.
- Southern California resident with the ability to work legally in the U.S.
