Kossar + Garry Architects, LLP (KGA) is looking for talented and creative applicants to fill the position of Project Architect/Designer with 5-10 years of experience. KGA is a small, twenty-five year old firm based in Chelsea with a wide array of projects, including commercial, institutional, multi-family residential, single-family residential, and temporary installations. Employees experience all aspects of design, from schematic design through construction administration.

Minimum BA/BS in Architecture. BArch or March preferred. Strong graphic skills required, including expertise in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3d modelling software (Rhino / 3dMax / Sketchup / etc). Ability to communicate well in English verbally and in writing with clients, consultants, and contractors is essential. Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills are required. Word and Excel familiarity is a plus. Familiarity with NYC Zoning and Building Codes is a plus.

The Lawrence Group is a national architecture firm with offices in 4 US cities, with a total staff of about 150 people. The New York Office is seeking candidates for an intermediate architect position starting immediately. The office is a boutique design office with around 12 architects and designers. Project involvement may include working on national retail design and roll-out, hospitality work or other building renovations in Manhattan and across the country.

Candidate qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
- 5-8 years professional experience in an architectural office.
- Excellent design and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent digital presentation skills, preferably including Sketchup and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of construction materials, details, methods and standard building codes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is a minimum requirement; the firm has fully implemented Revit on all new projects.
