Luay Bahoora Architects has a job opening for a Junior Architect. The position is open to motivated candidates with the ability to successfully execute projects from schematic design through construction completion. The following qualifications are required:

- Professional architectural degree from an accredited institution.
- Prior work experience in an architecture firm with direct experience working in schematic design, design development, and construction document phases.
- Ability and desire to work in a design intensive and collaborative environment.
- Proficiency with developing drawing sets from schematics through construction documents. This requires a solid understanding of drawing conventions, technical accuracy, as well as the ability to creatively solve construction problems.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD.
- Adobe Creative Suite (ie, Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator).
- Proficiency with 3D modelling & rendering software (Sketchup, Rhino, VRay) is required.
- Strong verbal and graphic communication skills.
- Currently living in the New York City area. Must be authorized to work in the US without need for employee sponsorship.​

We are seeking an ambitious Project Architect with a keen interest in contemporary house design and a minimum of relevant 5 years UK experience. Please do apply if you do not have this experience. We are a small, busy, design-driven practice specialising in high quality contemporary residential projects. Our projects range from small extensions to Period properties in and around London to new build houses around the UK and overseas. Our influences are international and we aim to raise standards in home design on every project, no matter what size or budget.

Candidates must be personable, self-reliant and have the ability to multi-task under pressure. Good communications skills, construction knowledge and the ability interact with often demanding private clients, as well other consultants, are essential.

Fluency in written and spoken English are essential, Vectorworks, Sketchup, Photoshop and CGI skills are an advantage.

We are well located in Chiswick High Road, close to shops and cafes. The practice is a friendly place to work.
