C+GA is currently seeking a candidate for Intermediate Architect with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with and potentially manage sustainable multi-family residential and institutional projects, from feasibility through construction administration.
- Interface with client and consulting team.
- Coordinate design and production of all phases, schematic design, design development and construction documents.
- Assist with bid period and construction administration services, including site visits and coordination with the owner and potential public agency (ies).

Skills:

- Strong organizational, communication, and design skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent project delivery experience, including construction documentation and construction administration.
- Knowledge of architectural practice and construction in general.
- Commitment to and experience with sustainable design.
- Experience in New York City and with sustainable design and multi-family housing a plus.
- Professional architectural degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience (post-grad). US experience required.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. 3D (Sketchup) proficiency a plus.
- Familiarity with Building Codes, NYC a plus.
- Leed Certification a plus.
- Excellent English language communication and client interface skills.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States, without need for employee sponsorship.

James Cleary Architecture is seeking a junior architect. JCA is a design oriented firm located in Brooklyn, NY. We work on a variety of projects, from innovative new multi-family construction to creative commercial interiors.

Applicants should:

- Have an accredited B.Arch or M.Arch degree.
- Have 1-2 years professional experience.
- Be highly proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Adobe Suite programs. Experience with Vray for Sketchup a plus.
- Be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
- Be capable of being involved in multiple projects simultaneously.
- Be equally comfortable in both the digital (energy modeling, 3D modeling/rendering) and analog (hand sketching and physical model making) worlds.
- Be reliable and aggressively well organized Reside within commuting distance of our office.
- Be a U.S. citizen, or already possess a work visa for working in the U.S.
