Serves as Senior Interior Architectural Designer responsible to and under the direction of the Design Principal.

Responsibilities:

The Project Architectural Designer oversees all aspects of the design, coordination and documentation of the project. He / She defines the program requirements based on client scope and develops the schematic design, prepares the interior architectural documentation and consistently communicates with the client and project consultants. He/She works closely with the Project FF&E Designer to maintain the integrity of design and assure all finishes are properly and clearly documented. He / She reviews construction documentation through the implementation of design to ensure clarity and quality of concept is maintained through detail level.

Requirements and Qualifications:

- Minimum of 15+ years experience in 5 Star Hospitality & Gaming Design Projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Planning, Architecture or related experience.
- Must be passionate about all aspects of design.
- Computer skills including: AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp.
- Must be a team player with an acute attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and service multiple projects at once.
- Ability to work with international clients.

Halard-Halard design, a small up-and-coming firm based in Red Hook Brooklyn, is looking for a full-time Intermediate Designer to join our team. Our firm specializes in high-end residential and retail design (architectural, interiors, decorative, furniture & art selection, etc). Strong candidates should be capable of exhibiting specialized abilities, talent, experience and creativity applicable to design and development, production of contract documents, and detailing of residential interior and architectural design. A solid knowledge of technical drawing standards, digital modeling and rendering is also preferred. Candidates should have the ability to take direction from project managers and execute accurate, developed drawings, renderings and images for construction and presentation.

The position requires:

- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
- 1+ years’ experience, primarily with residential projects.
- Draft presentation and construction documents under direction of architects and designers.
- Research, source & specify materials, furniture, fabric, hardware, furniture, appliances and fixtures for decorative and architectural projects.
- Procure, Review and facilitate proposals, estimates, purchase orders and invoices from vendors and suppliers.
- Detail-oriented and thorough disposition to ensure accuracy of the documents.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment both independently and collaboratively.
- Well developed knowledge of architectural, art and design history and theory.
- AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Windows proficient.
- 3D modeling Software: SketchUp preferred (Rhino/ 3d Max is a plus).
- Visualization/ Rendering Software: Vray.
- English as a primary language, proficiency in French a plus.
- U.S. work authorization required.
