Springboard Design is a progressive, design-oriented, architectural firm founded in 2001. From our home base in Pittsburgh, PA, we are a nationally recognized leader in public interest design and the design of museums, exhibitions, cultural facilities, contemporary homes, and educational facilities. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic entry or junior level intern architect with proficiency in ArchiCAD or Revit, and a thorough knowledge of construction documents. Strong organizational skills, the ability to work on several projects simultaneously, and 3-D modeling and visualization skills are also required.

Working under the direction of a company principal, candidates will have a professional degree in architecture, strong design sensibility, sound technical background, and be responsible for developing details, assisting with design development and construction Documentation, Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. prior to receiving any employment offers.

Responsibilities will include:

- Working directly with a principal throughout all phases of a project (Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Construction Administration) BIM modelling.
- Conceptual design iterations and alternatives development.
- Detailing, preparing and organizing Construction Documents.
- Assisting in Construction Administration tasks.

Qualifications:

- 1-5 years professional architectural experience.
- Proficiency in PC platform; Proficiency in ArchiCad or Revit preferred.
- BArch or March at minimum.
- Proficiency in speaking, writing and comprehending English.
- Legal work status in the U.S.

This is a full-time position. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Shadow Architects is a New York City based architecture and design firm focusing on high-end residential, restaurant and retail work. The studio is currently seeking applicants for a full time Junior Designer to work directly with the two architects in the office. Candidates should have a strong background in design, and be capable of working resourcefully and accurately under deadlines. Our Chelsea based studio has a tight-knit team of designers in a casual but focused work environment, and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Candidate Qualifications:

- Excellent design, organization, and communications skills. Attention to detail a must.
- Proficiency in Adobe, Microsoft Office and CAD software.
- Experience with Mac platform and Vectorworks software preferred.
- Desire to be involved and participate in all aspects of a project, from concept through construction, as well as the day-to-day operations of a small design firm.
- BArch or MArch degree with minimum two years professional experience in the USA.
- Must be a U.S. Resident or F-1 visa holder.
