We are expanding the firm in the New Year, seeking a Project Manager / Project Architect who is as thorough and detailed as they are agile and creative. This person will be working alongside the Principal and responsible for managing residential projects from design to completion, including:

- Client meetings.
- Code and zoning research.
- All aspects of design.
- Coordinating engineering consultants.
- Producing full construction documents.
- Coordinating bidding process.
- Construction administration.

Candidates should have the following qualifications:

- Professional Degree in Architecture.
- 3-10 years of experience in an office having some experience in single family residential (townhouses, brownstones, apartments or new construction).
- The ability to communicate directly with Clients, Contractors and Consultants.
- A full knowledge and proficiency in 3D software - Archicad /BIM users a plus.

Formation Association needs highly capable and talented Intermediate Designer. We hope to attract those who are selflj-modivated designers and drawn to our body of work. The commissions and building types we are acquiring is growing in scale and we hope to find designers who can both further develop existing projects and generated conceptual trajectories for new projects.

Office:

Formation Association is an architecture collaborative reformulating the built environment and its relationship to broader ecologies. An award-winning firm based in Silver Lake, Formation Association engages projects ranging from residential, housing, and commercial commissions in the Los Angeles area, to artist collaborations locally and abroad.

Position:

Formation Association is currently interviewing for a Senior Designer in Los Angeles with 3-6 years of experience. A selected candidate will be expected to contribute creatively and technically on projects in all phases of development, from conceptualization to construction administration.

An immediate start date is preferred.

Qualifications:

- Professional Architecture Degree Completed, BA / MA.
- Required command of AutoCad, Rhino, Vray, Grasshopper, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in residential, commercial, and cultural buildings.
- Small Lot Subdivision experience a plus.
- Experience in all phases of design, documentation, and construction.
- Excellent knowledge of drawing set coordination.
- Excellent skills in written and verbal communication.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the USA.

Responsibilities:

- Understand our body of work, the design brief, and respond accordingly.
- Self-organize, navigate ambiguity, and improvise in a demanding, unorthodox working environment.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of others with a team-building orientation.
- Produce excellent project visualization and documentation with limited input.
- Coordinate consultants and internal drawing set information.
- Participate in support roles and leadership roles as required.
