Glavovic Studio is seeking an exceptional designer and experienced licensed Architect with a minimum of 10 years’ experience. This highly qualified individual will work on upcoming projects which range from a new Museum School of Art to a high-rise Arts District Mixed-Use Residential Project and a new work-force housing project, from Conceptual design to Construction Administration.

Museum Exhibit Designer

We are working with an international design firm that is looking for a talented Musuem Exhibit Designer to join their studio in Singapore. This experiential creative studio provides professional design services throughout APAC & USA and they specializes in cultural design from museums, galleries to experiential spaces. The Museum Exhibit Designer will work closely with the Design Director to design, coordinate and integrate exhibits, graphics and media concepts into the overall physical needs of the space. In addition, the Senior Exhibit Designer will play a key role in developing effectively the storyline and interpretative goals of the project.

Major Responsibilities

- Reports directly to the Design Director.
- Lead and Develop designs, including 3-D exhibit elements, interiors, artifact displays, interactive experiences, from conceptual stage through final drawings.
- Do client presentations.
- Develop drawing packages, including construction drawings.
- Maintain work flow in accordance with project schedule, with a variety of tasks 
and deadlines.
- Manage junior and mid-level designers, delegate tasks to junior team members, 
and guide the design process to achieve project goals.
- Work in a team environment including cross functional staff, sub-contractors, and client contacts.
- Participate in conceptual development and illustrate design concepts through a variety of mediums, including hand sketches and computer renderings.
- Travel to meetings and site visits as required by projects.

Qualifications

- B.A. or M.A. in Interior Design / Architecture with a minimum of 5 years of experience in exhibit design or related field.
- High level of fluency with AutoCad, Sketchup or 3D Max and ideally with 
Adobe CS Suite.
- Proven experience in multiple phases of the design process, including.
- Conceptualization, design development, CD and fabrication/installation process.
- Good knowledge of fabrication techniques and materials standards of exhibit design.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and illustrative).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
- Experience leading teams is a plus.

Specific responsibilities

- Lead projects from beginning to completion.
- Delegate work and tasks to designers.
- Work with project budgets and schedules.
- Review and approve all design deliverables.
- Coordinate and monitor design manpower hours along with Management team and Design Director.
- Collaborate with project team members.
- Provide updates and milestone deliverables to Design Director and Management team for review / input.
- Coordinate and manage meetings pertaining to exhibit development.
- Work closely with Project Manager to track impact of scheduling and staffing required 
to meet deliverables and milestones.
- Responsible for maintaining client missions and design objectives throughout the project.
- Conduct design sessions within project team to develop and monitor project design and direction.
- Perform master planning and/or primary design development.
- Work with production team to maintain design integrity within project documents 
and artwork.
- Work with production team to coordinate and itemize presentation deliverables, format and project schedule.
- Participate and coordinate site reviews.
