HMC Architects is in search of a Project Designer​ with strong Pre-K-12 project design experience. This position will be located in our Ontario office.

Requirements & Preferred Skills:

- Architectural degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 7 years of project management and design experience with education projects.
- Licensed California architect preferred.
- Leed AP credential preferred.
- DSA experience.
- Proficiency in SketchUp, Revit/BIM, Bluebeam a plus.

Responsibilities:

- Effectively participate and coordinate in the Schematic and Design Development of projects.
- Demonstrate creativity in architectural design on projects.
- Effectively participate in office design charettes, team design critiques and pin-ups.
- Demonstrate Design Communication skills via sketching and hand drawings.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the appropriate use of building systems, materials, and technologies.
- Show initiative in the research of alternative systems and materials.
- Lead and assist in the documentation of project design, such as three-dimensional CAD modeling, physical models, and product or material research in collaboration with PM.
- Participate in the development of 3D modeling of projects. Prepare various Design Communication and Presentation materials including: sketches, rendered 2D and 3D drawings, rendered perspectives, slide shows and material selection boards in collaboration with PM.
- Provide a positive design leadership example to project teams and to the studio.

Randell Design Group is a busy small design led practice working on creative and inspirational high-end projects in the South of England. Based in Chichester, West Sussex, RDG is looking for highly motivated, talented Architects and productive Part II/III architectural assistants to help with delivering all aspects of the RIBA Work Stages.

Architectural Assistants should have at least 2-3 years post Part II experience and proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop and Office based software. Advanced experience of Revit, In-Design, Sketch-Up and good hand drawing skills preferable. The successful candidate must be able to manage their own time and workload, acting with both responsibility and efficiency.

RDG offers an exciting, friendly design studio environment in a coastal location, providing excellent career growth. Within the practice there are two Part III tutors, one of whom is also a Professional Examiner to help support those continuing towards professional accreditation.
