Howard Laks Architects is an award winning architectural firm with a diverse portfolio located in Santa Monica, California. Howard Laks Architects is currently seeking a candidate with Type 1 Construction Administration experience for a new hotel in Santa Monica, CA.

Additional requirements for this position are as follows:

- Minimum 10-12 years architectural experience in a professional office.
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Architecture.
- Experience in design and architectural detailing through construction document phase.
- Experience in processing submittals and general construction administration correspondence.
- Proficient in ACAD 2016, Photoshop, Sketch-Up, Rhino, Illustrator, Photoshop, Maxwell Render, Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Ability to complete a full set of documents from design development through construction document phase.
- Coordinate with engineering and design consultants in preparation for a building permit.
- Ability to work closely with production team.
- Technical knowledge of Type I, III and V construction.
- Knowledge of Municipal Codes; (Santa Monica, Los Angeles) including CBC 2013 and ADA requirements.
- Experience in multi-family, mixed use, hotel and commercial retail design.
- Licensure accreditation is strongly preferred but not required.
- Revit experience a plus.
