Ryall Porter Sheridan Architects is a New York City based firm focused on high-end residential and institutional projects with an emphasis on carefully detailed, high-performance structures and environmentally sustainable design. RPSA is one of the few firms to have completed an internationally certified Passive House project in North America. Current projects range from an extensive renovation of an existing synagogue into a new arts foundation in lower Manhattan to construction of high performance houses on Long Island and townhouses in New York City.

RPSA is seeking an Intermediate Architect with 3-5 years post-graduation work experience to assist with various projects through all phases of design. The ideal candidate would have superb organizational skills, good design sense, perseverance and a strong work ethic. Responsibilities will include close work with project team members, consultants and city agencies.

Necessary credentials:

- Professional BArch degree or March.
- Work experience in New York City or similar urban setting.
- Proactive and communicative attitude.
- Excellent writing, verbal, and graphic communication skills.
- Collaborative talent and design skills with different media (physical model building, hand sketching and computer modeling).
- Strong skills in creating and organizing working drawing sets: permit applications, bid drawings and construction sets with a clear understanding of materials and detailing and an ability to research and solve design problems. Experience in sustainable design a plus.
- Fluency in Vectorworks and Sketchup.
