Junior Architect
19/07/2014Our Brooklyn NY based architecture studio specializing in median to high-end residential and commercial work is currently looking for a junior architect to join our young and talented staff.
The ideal candidate would have a completed Bachelor of Architecture Degree, minimum 18 months post-graduation experience on residential or small commercial projects, great work ethics and a positive attitude. Knowledge of AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator and Sketch-up are required.
We are offering a great work environment and growth opportunity while working on a multitude of exciting projects.
Please submit a cover letter with salary requirements, resume, 3 sheets of original work samples and 3 sheets of construction documents prepared in AutoCAD. No calls please.

This position offers exposure to all aspects of project design and implementation from Schematic Design to Construction Administration and provides the chance to work closely with the principal and other members of the team on a wide range of projects.
Required qualifications:
- 1-5 years of experience working in an architectural office.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite & Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships effectively with employees, consultants and vendors.
- Self-disciplined and able to work well both independently and in a team environment.
- Strong multi-tasking skills.
- LEED Accreditation a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of detailing, building code & green construction a plus.
