A planning and design firm in Alexandria, Virginia, is seeking competent architects, planners, and interior designers who enjoy working on challenging and non-traditional projects. We specialize in strategic and master planning; concept development and feasibility studies; and space planning and interior design. At this time we are considering professionals for the following positions:
Architect - Planner
Mid-level Architect/Planner with 10+ years’ experience in Master Planning of campuses. The candidates should be able to demonstrate planning and design capabilities in site analysis, building siting, transportation and landscape planning, utility studies, environmental studies, and developing planning and urban design guidelines. Desirable requirements include:
- Strong analytical, report writing, and presentation skills.
- Expertise in CAD and GIS systems.
- AIA and LEED membership; and
- A team player with ability to manage sub-projects.
Interior Designer – Space Planner
Interior Designer with 5-10 years’ experience with large office interior projects. Demonstrated experience in programming, space planning, design and coordinating/preparation of design development documents. Job requirements include:
- Managing projects independently with ability to liaison with clients and developers/contractors.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Familiarity with using AutoCAD.
- ASID and LEED membership; and
- Be willing to travel to project sites.
Junior Architect
A 5-year degree in Architecture with up to 5 years’ experience in commercial and/or laboratory architecture. Job requirements include:
- Expertise in AutoCAD.
- Interested in architecture-related programming, problem-solving, new technologies and sustainability.
- Team-player and be willing to travel to project sites.
