Architectural Renderer - Graphic Designer

David Collins Studio are currently 50 staff of talented individuals with a passion for Luxury Design. The Graphics department support all the design teams which include Residential, Commercial Residential, Retail and Hospitality so this is a varied and exciting role for the right person. Key attributes are listed below and the right candidate will be able to demonstrate their project management skills and the ability to manage the workload of a busy office and team.

Responsible to:

Creative Director, Design Director and Design Teams.

What we are looking for:

- Graphic Designer and Artworker experienced in digital media and with knowledge of current trends within interiors, graphic design and branding, to work across the following areas:
- Proven experience of working to the highest standards with relevant experience gained in a interior / architectural design office.
- Production of client presentations Visualisation – Photoshop Rendering (training will be provided if required) Focus on deadlines & project management.
- Managing a small team of Design professionals.
- Branding and Marketing Day to day graphic support 90% Project / 10% Branding.
- A keen interest in the Luxury sectors Role and Responsibilities.

Production of client presentations:

- Working closely with the Design Teams to prepare and produce interior design presentation documents to include plans, elevations, sketches, photography, visuals, etc.
- Create and oversee production of bespoke new client presentations, including format, printing and binding.
- Manage and schedule presentation workloads across all projects.
- Day to Day Graphic Support.
- Liaising with the Design Teams to collate and prepare working documents eg visual spread sheets using In Design, Photoshop project, photography.
- Liaising with materials suppliers.
- David Collins Studio Marketing and Profile Being the DCS brand guardian and ensuring that all DCS marketing collateral reflects the brand guidelines.

Based branding:

- Working on the branding for client interiors projects including:
- generation
- collateral (eg menus, posters, company stationery, etc)
- signage (internal and external)
- treatments to windows and internal areas
- production of brand guidelines.

Staff

Overseeing 2 permanent members of staff (graphics & visualisation), managing freelance staff and or interns, and briefing and monitoring work produced.

Software:

- Adobe Photoshop.
- InDesign (advanced).
- Adobe Illustrator.
- Adobe Acrobat.
- Microsoft Office.

James Cleary Architecture is a full-service architectural firm that designs a variety of commissioned and speculative works. Our projects range from a re-imagined brownstone to a modern apartment building, from renovations to new ground-up construction, and from elegant urban apartments to Shaker-inspired country retreats. Each shares a consistent creative vision that is fresh, contemporary, and unafraid of engaging with the architectural past.

Applicants should:

- Have an accredited B.Arch or M.Arch degree.
- Have 0-2 years professional experience.
- Be highly proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Rhino, Adobe Suite programs, and MS Word & Excel.
- Be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
- Be capable of being involved in multiple projects simultaneously.
- Be equally comfortable in both the digital (energy modeling, 3D modeling/rendering) and analog (hand sketching and physical model making) worlds.
- Be reliable and aggressively well organized.
- Be a U.S. citizen, or hold a current work visa for working in the U.S.

This is a full time, salaried position - salary commensurate with experience and skills.
