Responsibilities:
- Taking lead role in design direction from initial concept through design detailing.
- Oversee design quality of multiple project teams.
- Prepare presentations and pitching to prospective clients.
- Mentor talented design group and inspire passion for elevating design within the firm.
Qualifications:
- Work examples that demonstrate an extremely strong design sensibility and superior technical knowledge.
- Experience and ability to produce detailed and coordinated construction documents.
- Comfort taking lead role in client pitches & presentations.
- Comfort with multi-tasking and collaboration within a context of fast-paced projects.
- Ability to use multiple media (hand sketching through advanced digital) to develop, test, and communicate design ideas quickly and effectively.
- Deep knowledge of architectural practice and construction in general.
- Professional architectural degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 10 consecutive years’ relevant experience (post-grad).
- AutoCAD proficiency and Adobe creative suite a must, 3D (Sketchup) proficiency a plus.
- Familiarity with NYC building codes.
- Currently living in or ability to move to NY area.
- Excellent English language communication skills.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States, without need for employer sponsorship.
