What you do:
To be passionate about design, to lead teams through projects from start to finish, to coordinate the design and technical detailing with consultants, obtaining approvals/permits.
Background and experience:
- Bachelor degree of Architecture.
- Construction Documents & Construction Administration experience is required.
- Previous Theater/Auditoriums/art/entertainment/ Educational facilities design experience preferred.
- Registered Architect highly preferable.
- Minimum 8 year experience working in architecture design firms.
- Expert in AutoCAD.
- Minimum 3 year experience with Revit 3D modeling is preferred.
- Proficient with other 3D modeling (ex, Google SketchUp) programs preferred.

Assisting the Founding Director in the Preparation of architectural presentation drawings for new Classical buildings, preparation of Building Regulation applications, preparation of working drawings and specifications.
- Assisting in the contract administration of building contracts for buildings under construction, including visiting building sites and assisting in conducting site meetings and recording minutes.
- Attending client meetings with the Director and assisting in taking minutes of client meetings.
- Assisting in liaising with other consultants including Quantity Surveyors, Structural Engineers and Mechanical and Electrical consultants.
- Providing personal assistance to the Director in other various ways.
Skills and qualifications:
The successful candidate needs to demonstrate that he or she has a thorough understanding of the Classical language of Architecture and is confident and skilled in producing freehand design sketches and hand drawn pencil presentation drawings in a range of mediums including pencil, watercolour and ink.
Examples of work demonstrating these skills will be required as well as evidence of an ability to draw and design in three dimensions.
Candidates will also need to demonstrate a particular interest and some understanding of traditional detailing relating to solid, truly load bearing masonry structures.
In addition to excellent hand drawing skills the successful candidate should be able to demonstrate experience in architectural computer skills for presentation and detail construction drawings. In particular the candidate needs to be able to demonstrate familiarity and complete competence in the following computer programmes - AutoCAD 2014; 3Ds Max; SketchUp; Photoshop;
Experience of Parametric Modelling would be advantageous.
In addition to these technical skills good communication skills are required and an ability to write fluently and correctly in English. This is important for the preparation of client and contractor minutes and for general correspondence.
Regarding qualifications, a RIBA part two or equivalent qualification is required. Preference will be given to candidates whose architectural education has included a thorough Classical architectural training.
Salary: £35,000.00 per annum
