Studio T-SQ., is a small, but growing, award winning Architectural firm in downtown Oakland with a small office in Long Beach. Our office specializes in multi-family residential and mixed-use projects with some of the leading developers in the bay area. Our focus is on creating the highest level of design within the limits of our clients budgets. In addition, we have continued large scale design projects proceeding in many areas of China.
We have an energetic staff of 25 in Oakland along with 4 in our Long Beach office. We are looking for a Project Architect to support our design, design development, construction documents and construction administration efforts. The candidate must have a minimum of 10 - 12 years experience in managing multi-family apartment projects and overseeing construction. Strong communication and organization skills are a must. Concurrent with construction administration efforts would be support for our design and entitlements efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Involvement in projects from conceptual design through construction.
- Lead project teams to success in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
- Work directly with partners and senior staff.
- Coordinate projects with client and consultant teams.
- Prepare construction documents to the highest level.

Qualifications:
- 10-12 years of experience in preparation of construction documents and coordination of consultant teams.
- Degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
- Licensed Architect in California.
- Multi-family residential experience a major plus.
- A very organized person who can track multiple projects.
- Creative and technically minded.
Dynamic practice are looking for talented Architects with a flair for design to work in a collaborative team developing scheme design for key buildings within large retail/mixed use/residential/urban redevelopments across the UK. Skills/Requirements:
- UK experience on large-scale schemes from RIBA stages A to C (0-3). You will be ARB/RIBA registered and will have experience working on retail, residential and mixed-use projects, preferably having worked on complex town or city-based schemes.
- An excellent awareness and ability to express projects and concepts in three dimensions.
- Competence in producing high quality presentation material.
- Ability to engage with clients, key stakeholders and consultants and to manage projects through to planning.
- A thorough knowledge of UK town planning, building regulations and building standards.
- Ideally proficient in AutoCAD or Microstation and SketchUp; a good knowledge of Revit would be of added benefit.
