Senior Architect
09/08/2014SDA Architects Ltd are a practice based in Leeds, with offices in London, Birmingham and the USA. We are currently looking for Senior Architects with 5 - 10 years PQE to join our teams in Leeds, London and Birmingham.
This role provides the opportunity to lead multiple projects, delivering high end solutions for automotive, hotel, residential, retail and other diverse projects, ranging in size and complexity.
To be considered for this role, the basic core requirements are:
- Passion for design.
- First class communication and people management skills.
- Good team player.
- Ability to lead multiple projects.
- Willingness to work in complex client environments.
- Strong ability to handle multitasking situations in periods with a high level pace.
- Sound knowledge of technical construction and attention to detail.
- Excellent knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Standards.
The position is available immediately.
The salary is negotiable based on previous experience.

Tasks and responsibilities:
At schmidt hammer lassen architects we consider the architectural approach as key to ensuring healthcare projects of the highest quality, designed to support the well-being of patients, relatives and staff. The company project portfolio documents this convincingly with hospitals in Denmark, Sweden and China. We expect to expand our engagement in this challenging field in the coming years and we are looking for an architect to join us and expand our team. The ideal candidate will be motivated to further business development as well as taken on a specialist role in healthcare in the project development team.
Our new healthcare specialist will excel in developing innovative healthcare projects. The ideal candidate will already be regarded as a specialist and will acknowledge the importance of sharing this expertise with both colleagues and clients.
The position requires the ability to network and represent our company at conferences, client meetings and in project meetings. In collaboration with our senior partners and the Business Development department we expect the new healthcare specialist to generate business opportunities in the area of healthcare.

- Experience as project manager or manager is an advantage.
- You will have a strong International profile, preferably with professional experience abroad.
- You will work efficiently in a high pressure environment.
- You will have a detailed knowledge of Rhino, AutoCAD, Adobe and REVIT insight.
- You will will be fluent in English (written and spoken), and preferably have at least a basic level of an Scandinavian language.
