NAVA is seeking Senior Designers with 5+ years of experience with focus on residential and commercial projects. NAVA is a forward thinking real estate development, architecture and interior design company. NAVA operates in a focused studio environment with offices on Union Square in NYC. We integrate real estate development, architecture and development strategy into a comprehensive design offering that is unique in our profession.

Candidates for the Senior Designer position must exhibit strong creativity and a skillful design vocabulary, as well as an ability to lead an energetic, fast-paced creative process to develop innovative design solutions. All candidates must have well-rounded experience in architecture, with particular focus on design from programming to material selection and detailing. Strong graphic and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work in a team environment, are also critical.

Specific qualifications involve:

- Accredited Professional or Graduate degree in Architecture with at least 5 years professional experience.
- Extensive knowledge of 3D modeling, presentation and design software; Sketchup, AutoCAD, Rhino, InDesign and Photoshop are key. Revit is optional.
- Expert Design skills and ability to come up with innovative solutions to complex design problems.
- Experience leading the efforts on complex projects with multiple variables in a variety of environments.
- Skilled at multitasking and working toward multiple deadlines.
- Competence in leading a fast-paced, collaborative design environment.
- Strong graphic and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate design solutions to, and interact directly with clients.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently to lead design team.

An opportunity for an experienced Project Architect to join our expanding practice with a workload majoring in contemporary high end single dwellings and apartments: you must have at least 5 years post qualification UK experience, be able to demonstrate excellent design and detailing skills and have the ability to lead complex design projects confidently.

You will be passionate about all aspects of architecture and design and have a curiosity for its history and future. You should be ambitious, with initiative, and be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all members of the design team. The beauty, elegance and practicality of how buildings are made will be important to you, and you will relentlessly pursue a desire to find the right solution. Strong 2-D CAD skills are essential; 3-D/ Sketch-up/In-design/Photoshop advantageous.
