PHT Lighting Design is an award-wining architectural lighting design firm, our work covers a range of projects from small to large scale, including academic institutions, work environments, high-end residences and hospitality. PHT Lighting is seeking like-minded and motivated individual to join our practice who possesses the core qualities of compassion, enthusiasm, high intellect and strong interpersonal skills. The designer will be working closely with the principal to develop the design from conceptual level through all phases of design, construction administration and project closeout. Our working environment is an open office with studio atmosphere, where dialog and exchange between team members are encouraged.

We are looking for a qualified intermediate-level designer who will be expected to perform a variety of tasks and be able to juggle competing priorities/schedules accordingly.

Responsibilities:

- Designing, drafting, and detailing from schematic design through design development and construction document phases.

Qualifications:

- Experience and ability to create concept design presentations and produce coordinated construction documents.
- Comfort with multi-tasking and collaboration within a context of fast-paced projects.
- Work examples that demonstrate, in addition to technical excellence, a strong design sensibility.
- Knowledge of architectural practice and construction in general.
- Professional architectural or architectural lighting degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3 consecutive years relevant experience.
- AutoCAD proficiency and Adobe Creative Suite a must, BIM software experience a plus.
- Currently living in NY area, available to start within 2 weeks of interview.
- Excellent English language communication skills.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
