All-Around Design Architect
27/05/2014Our office in Shanghai is currently looking for All-Around Design Architects. The atmosphere within the office is open, international, multidisciplinary and ambitious, but also friendly with attention to personal development and career planning.
Skills:
- 2-5 years of experience as an All-Around Design Architect.
- Fluent English communication skills (reading and writing).
- Fluent Mandarin communication skills (reading and writing) an advantage.
- Strong aesthetic sensibilities and design skills.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a continuing desire to learn.
- Good team player; able to work in a team and independently.
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, Rhinoceros (Grasshopper and RhinoScript a plus), Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
- Good rendering skills (Vray, Cinema4D, or Mental Ray, etc).
Working conditions are according to Chinese legislation. Applications consisting of a short motivation letter, C.V. and portfolio can be sent digitally (PDF, max.10mb) to Feely Pan at email.

Senior Interior Designer
27/05/2014We are looking for creative Senior Interior Designers to join our successful retail and workplace teams. You will be exposed to the full scope of our award-winning London practice; helping to deliver the high standard of comprehensive and integrated building design services that has seen BDP become a major interdisciplinary practice of architects, designers and engineers.
Engaging with, and presenting to blue-chip clients and stakeholders, you will be in a key strategic position to drive our direction in a new wave of challenging, high profile retail/workplace projects both in the domestic and international markets. You will mentor and guide less senior staff while making key design decisions within interdisciplinary project teams, taking responsibility for projects from day one, and driving concepts from inception to site completion.
Reporting directly to the retail team director, we are looking for a candidate that can lead teams effectively and are keen to progress their career.

About you:
You will have exceptional design skills, and strong experience (5-10 years) gained working in the retail/workplace sectors within a successful design firm. You will have relevant experience of briefing, space-planning, concept design development and implementation through to on-site and post-completion review.
You will have a good working knowledge of Revit and or Microstation, Excel, Indesign, and Photoshop. An understanding of Autocad, Powerpoint and Sketch up would be desirable although not essential.
We place great value on team work and collaboration, so you will need to demonstrate a strong team-working ethos. You will be able to work effectively with people at all levels and from all backgrounds and have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
