We are seeking an Intermediate Architect to work as a key managerial component of a small principal-led design team on all phases of project development, from planning and concept design through design development, permitting, bid analysis, construction documents, and construction administration for fast-paced mixed-use projects.
The following minimum qualifications apply:
- Education: Professional degree B Arch or M Arch.
- Experience: 5-8 years relevant professional experience working on multi-story buildings.
- High density mixed-use experience a must.
- High-rise experience a plus.
- Basic working knowledge of parametric modeling.
- Hand drawing and sketching experience a plus.
- Strong graphic skills.
- Design Skills: Strong aesthetic sense, 3D presentation, production and technical skills.
- Experience with materials selection, specification and detailing.
- Organizational Skills: Focused, articulate, well organized, excellent time management skills, and detail – oriented.
- Software: Proficiency with ACAD and familiarity with other 3D software and Adobe Design Suite.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
Meyer + Silberberg Land Architects is a Landscape Architecture firm located in Berkeley. We are seeking an experienced Landscape Architect or Designer who is highly motivated, willing to take on responsibility and grow with our firm. This is a salaried position with benefits.
Candidates should possess:
- Degree from an accredited Bachelors or Masters program in Landscape Architecture.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a Landscape Architecture or Architecture firm.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office required. Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Revit, Sketchup and Rhino a plus.
- Strong design and technical skills.
- Professional communication and leadership skills including experience managing a project, developing a schedule, tracking project issues and approvals, and overseeing the work of an in-house design team.
- Experience interacting with clients and leading presentations.
- Experience in Construction Documentation and Construction Administration.
- Experience with marketing and proposal writing.
