Small architectural studio in North London is looking for an architect with 5+ years UK construction experience with a strong design sense, initiative and organisational skills to manage and lead the design and construction of residential projects in London. At present, the studio specialises in the refurbishment, alteration and extension of terraced houses and warehouses in the London area. The design approach of the office is contemporary with an understanding of historic buildings and strong emphasis on materials.

Candidates should:

- Have 5+ years UK construction experience.
- Have skill in Vectorworks (Mac), or be prepared to learn.
- Have RIBA Part 2 or Part 3.
- Be confident with making submissions to statutory authorities.
- Be able to produce comprehensive construction packages.
- Be capable of running a contract as Contract Administrator.
- Have good level of competency in written and spoken communication skills.
- Digital and 3D Rhino (or similar) skills, a bonus.
- Work concurrently on projects, including competitions.
- Have initiative and enthusiasm, contributing to the building of the practice.

- Extensive experience with multi-unit residential and/or mixed use projects required.
- A Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture is required.
- Architectural Licensure is preferred.
- Excellent Project Management and project coordination skills.
- Strong knowledge of Building Codes and construction types.
- Extensive knowledge of building systems and detailing (be prepared with specific examples).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven success in mentoring staff and managing project teams.
- Knowledge of REVIT is required.
