Four person Architect and Engineering firm looking for a Junior architect for residential (single and multifamily) and commercial projects. Our project's range from contemporary and modern styles to traditional Spanish and Mediterranean.

Applicants must submit sample work of construction documents and renderings.

Requirements including:

- Develop conceptual sketches into working floor plans, elevations, section and 3D models.
- 3D modeling in Sketchup, Vray & Photoshop skills are mandatory.
- Develop construction documents and details.
- Research and Develop material boards.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketch-up is a must. Vray is a nice plus.
- Must possess exemplary interpersonal and communication (written and oral)skills.

Minimum of 3 yrs experience on quality, renovation and ground up construction projects, tenant improvement is a plus.

This is a part time to full time position, no telecommuting allowed.
Compensation ranges based on experience and portfolio. IDP welcome.

We are a real estate development company with offices in Seattle, Honolulu and Colorado Springs with an immediate opening for a full-time Architect with 1-3 years project management experience to work closely with our property and construction management teams. Project experience with Type I Construction, tenant improvements and residential is strongly preferred.

We are specifically looking for someone who has experience working in offices of 10-20 persons, a comprehensive understanding of space planning, commercial materials/finishes, and a willingness to collaborate on residential design projects. Those having specialized experience in construction/contract administration will receive priority consideration.

The ideal candidate must be able to design with end users in mind while furthering the company’s business strategies. You must be conscientious, organized, self-motivated, able to communicate clearly, and deliver innovative cost-effective designs in a timely manner while balancing multiple priorities in a fast paced work environment. This position requires high level problem solving skills, attention to detail and a strong work ethic. You will be expected to assume all related architectural responsibilities including design, drafting, and construction administration. Please note that this is a project management level position, however it requires frequent drafting exercises from design to construction documentation.

To be considered for this position the candidate must possess the following: a Master’s degree in Architecture, a license to practice architecture in some combination of Washington, Colorado or Hawaii, and an ability/willingness to get licensed in additional states.

Other professional skills required for this position include:

- Fluency in AutoCAD, Sketch-up and Microsoft Office programs.
- Mastery of detailed construction documentation and contract administration.
- Clear understanding of various construction types and processes.
- Knowledge of current building codes, building materials and costs.

With offices in both Seattle and Honolulu, this position could be based in either location with travel between the two. We offer a competitive salary, benefits package and encourage continuing education.
