The ideal candidate will have 10 years commercial experience and fantastic flair for designing large scale retail projects in China.

You will have excellent communication skills, and able to converse fluently in English. Mandarin would be a bonus but is not essential. Good knowledge of CAD software and excellent free-hand sketching is required for this role.

Studioteka is a small dynamic firm with a variety of commercial and residential projects located in a beautiful loft space in the heart of DUMBO. In contrast to a stuffy corporate office, you’ll find our space relaxed, friendly and informal, and fun to work in! We have just gotten a number of very interesting projects in the office, and are looking to expand our team.

What we're looking for: dedicated, motivated individuals looking for a hands-on work experience with as much responsibility as you can handle. Maturity and a high level of motivation are important. Previous practical experience in a firm with coordinating drawing sets, as well as other related experience at building or making things (whether experience in architecture, interiors, furniture or product design) is a huge plus, as are skills in 3D visualization. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and be well organized and self-motivated. An adventurous spirit and a love of design are a must, as is the ability to work in an informal design studio atmosphere.

Start date: Immediately. This is a full time position. Salary commensurate with experience. We are seeking one junior and one intermediate candidate. Preference given to intermediate candidates who have experience with performing arts, exhibition, and spa related projects. All candidates should have a working knowledge of Autocad, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and In-Design. Preference will be given to junior candidates who also have proficiency in 3D Studio Max, Rhino or other 3D programs, a high level of Photoshop rendering skill as well as those able to create 3D fly-throughs and motion graphics.
