M Moser Associates, a global firm specializing in the design and delivery of innovative work places, is seeking a well-qualified Junior Designer to join our growing New York office. In collaboration with key Directors, this candidate will promote design excellence on all interior workplace projects, while playing a role in marketing presentations, client presentations and business development. The Junior Designer will collaborate with team members from the conceptual design phases through project completion. He/She will be involved in the formation of workplace design concepts + solutions during conceptual and schematic design, programming and space planning phases of projects. This key role requires a talented, attentive and communicative candidate interested in creating innovative, sustainable and compelling workplaces that effectively respond to client's needs and business objectives. We seek a dynamic thinker who works best in a team-centric and creative environment, a thoughtful and articulate communicator with excellent organizational skills and a talented and innovative designer. This candidate will work regularly with the core team and report to the Director of Design based in New York.

Responsibilities:

- Participate in general business development activities and creative assignments.
- Support the Design Director in interpreting/developing concepts that meet the client brief and budget.
- Translate initial concepts (with direction) into detailed 3D models and plans.
- Manage drawing documentation.
- Prepare mood boards, color schemes and finish palettes.
- Source and specify fittings, furniture, fabrics and finishes.
- Undertake site and furniture surveys.
- Facilitate visioning and discovery sessions and participate during client interviews.
- An enthusiastic and resourceful team player.

Desired Skills:

- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in corporate interiors.
- Licensed professional and LEED AP preferred.
- Ability to work creatively and productively with Sketch Up, ADT and Photoshop. Revit a plus.
- Strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with furniture and finishes.

Specialist award winning practice who work across many sectors delivering projects for regeneration, residential, urban design and mixed use projects are currently working on a number of large residential/housing schemes in the London area. Due to practice growth and expansion they are now looking to recruit several Architects with good design and technical skills to take these large schemes from planning through to completion.

Skills & experience:

- RIBA or ARB registered Architect with experience of working within the United Kingdom.
- Excellent presentation skills, both verbally and drawing.
- Excellent working knowledge of CAD systems, AutoCAD and ideally including REVIT.
- Experience of working directly with the client, contractor and design team, with a good knowledge of current housing guidelines and how to apply them.
- The candidate must be a team player, with excellent communication skills and able to work to tight deadlines!
