The opportunity:

We are looking for a talented and qualified architect with 3 - 10 years of experience to join our construction and design team. This individual must have outstanding design and engineering skills as well as excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Responsibilities:

- Reports to Design Director and is responsible for assisting in architectural design of all Nautilus Group projects.
- Assists efforts in the analysis, design, and detailing of projects using Autodesk Revit and Dassault SolidWorks.
- Participates in R&D efforts in design and laboratory testing of proprietary design components and building systems.
- Analyzes designs using appropriate/applicable building codes.
- Creates details, sketches and mark-ups for drafting.
- Creates building design packages for 3rd party plan reviewers.
- Collaborates with and supports engineering and manufacturing/construction team members.
- Other duties as required.

Job requirements:

- 3-10 years of architectural engineering experience.
- Coursework in design from reputable design school.
- Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills.
- Skilled in Autodesk Building Design Premium (Revit).
- Occasional travel to manufacturing facility in Lathrop, CA.
- Ability to follow instructions and effectively communicate, including technical writing, in English is necessary to perform the essential duties of the job.

Preferred skills/experience:

- Experience in reputable design office.
- Familiarity/experience with Dassualt Systems Solidworks.
- Knowledge of CBC/IBC requirements and related design codes.

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related fields required. Master’s degree preferred.
