We are currently looking for a talented and motivated individual with an open mind and the ability to contribute and pick up our way of doing things. The team is flexible and the post is initially seen as ideal for a qualified architect (ARB/RIBA) part time. Desired skills:
- Excellent design understanding.
- Proficient in MicroStation (or ability to learn quickly) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop in particular).
- Experience with detailing and specifications.
- Confidence in working independently.
- Willingness to take on responsibility and develop new skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the team.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English is essential.
- Preferably UK construction site experience.
Initial outputs will be:
- Develop design from pre-planning sketches.
- Develop design according to building control regulations.
- Prepare CGI/3D representations to express design ideas and fit outs.
- Liaise with other consultants and contractors.
- Detail and coordinate packages.
- Undertake site inspection.
- Model making.
Duration: long term or project based.
Period: Full time or 3 days per week, developing into full time position.

Responsible for finished plans, specifications or approval of materials and construction. Applies sound and diverse knowledge of architectural principle and practices in broad array of assignments and related fields.
Job requirements:
- Prepare program and schematic proposal, project layouts and develop design in 2D and 3D using Revit and AutoCAD for client review/approval.
- Perform design computations, specifications, compiles data, and elementary architectural assignments.
- Assist with preparation of construction drawings and construction detailing for contractors.
- Review building codes to assure that design complies with the minimum legal standards.
- Assist in the constructions administration reviewing shop drawings and creating a master log of the project submittals.
- Prepare finish material sample boards, physical models and graphic presentations for client approval.
Key skills:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture or related field.
- 5 to 8 years' experience.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, 3D and Adobe Programs.
- LEED accreditation is preferred.
- California Architectural License preferred.
