Recently we opened an office in China and are looking for an experienced and ambitious Senior Architect for our Shanghai office. The atmosphere within the office is open, international, multidisciplinary and ambitious, but also friendly with attention to personal development and career planning.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in Chinese construction practices and management of civic/cultural and commercial projects in China. Other requirements include excellent graphic representation, effective team leadership, strong verbal and written language skills in Mandarin and English.
We expect furthermore:
- At least 10 years experience as all round Architect.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Chinese building codes.
- Excellent technical knowledge and detailing skills.
- Good aesthetic sensibilities.
- Experience in tender and executive phase in China.
- Good management skills in large scale projects.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Good knowledge of Rhino.
- Good leadership skills, able to organize workflow for the project teams.
- Good coaching skills and able to motivate people within the teams.

The Anderson Studio of Architecture and Design seeks a full-time dynamic Project Architect to join our Charleston, SC office. The Project Architect will be part of a design team, with project locations ranging from the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of the US to the Caribbean.
Desired skills and experience:
- 7+ years experience in the design of high-end, custom residential projects.
- Master’s degree in Architecture preferred.
- Ability to comfortably move between modern and historically inflected design languages.
- Strong hand sketching and computer graphics skills, with software knowledge/experience to ideally include:
- Adobe Creative Suite.
- Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel and Word.
- SketchUp.
- ArchiCAD (this is a major plus).
- Other CAD 2D and 3D software.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on communication, teamwork and collaboration.
- Must be motivated, willing to learn and take direction.
