18/08/2015Specializing in interior design and architecture since its founding in 1986, Keaton Interiors has focused on the Multi-family industry for over 20 years. The firm has designed several hundred multifamily projects across the country which totals to thousands of apartment dwellings. We are a full service design firm currently looking for an experienced architect to join our team full time.
Required:
- Proficient in AutoCAD LT 2014 or above, including x-ref and layer management.
- Able (or willingness to learn) to assemble a complete set of drawings with minimal oversite.
- 3+ years of multi-family experience.
Preferred:
- Able (or willingness to learn) to draw sections and details of material transitions and constructability.
- Knowledge in current ADA, FHA and TAS clearance requirements.
- Comfortable coordinating design direction and intent with other consulting disciplines as required.
- AIA registration, or on track to registration.

Job description:
- Create and develop design concepts.
- Lead project teams from Schematic Design through Construction Documentation.
- Lead in Construction Administration of projects physical and digital modelling and drawing of design concepts.
- Create details from design concepts.
- Working with clients; candidates should be able to effectively manage consultant, client, and contractor communications.
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree from an architectural program.
- Bachelor's in architecture graduates will also be considered.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modelling programs (Rhino preferred).
- Proficiency in Adobe CS suite, MS Word and Excel.
- Competency in algorithmic scripting preferred.
- Experience working with clients and managing small projects.
- Experience creating construction documentation, including details of designs.
Qualified candidates should submit a cover letter, detailed resume, and at least four work samples (professional work preferred, with descriptions of job duties for each project) to email.
