We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Architect who can demonstrate a rigorous sense of design and technical skill to join our Mauritius-based studio.
You will have expertise in all stages including production information and technical design and will be able to display excellent drawing, presentation and communication skills.
Involved on a range of exciting projects, you will be required to be involved throughout all stages of a project's cycle, from inception and sketch design to completion.
This is an opportunity to work in a collaborative and creative practice.
This is a full-time position available to start immediately.
Qualifications:
- Professional architecture degree & min. 10 years design and construction experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and MS Office.
- Ability to effectively communicate with design team.
- Ability to efficiently prepare construction documents.
- Ability to manage projects independently and efficiently with minimum involvement by the Director.
- A good level of English, and preferably good level of French too.
Respnsibilities:
- Brainstorm design concepts quickly and develop through multiple design stages.
- Produce drawings for all design phases, conceptual design through to construction documents.
- Produce materials for client presentations.
- Research local and international manufacturers' materials, systems and specifications.
- Coordinate design with all consultants, and construction teams.
