- Professional Degree in Architecture.

This is a full-time, Architectural Designer position. The role requires an ability to handle a full range of design tasks from proposals to construction administration. The candidate should possess strong design skills and visual communication skills, a working knowledge of building systems and standards, and a strong technical aptitude.

The position will require the ability to take on aspects of a project independently and balance production tasks with coordination responsibilities. This position is an integral part of the WXY’s design process and requires close collaboration with the entire design team, office principals, consultants and clients.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and execute all phases of an architectural project in close collaboration with projects managers and office principals, from proposals to contract documents.
- Support all phases of design through the production of high quality graphic communication, drawings and 3D visualization.
- Lead aspects of design development, construction documents and construction administration.
- Research materials, products, and building systems throughout the design process and construction documentation.
- Maintain an organized content workflow throughout production, consistent with office procedures and standards.
- Report to project managers and office principals regularly.
- Work directly with a variety of consultants, contractors and clients.
- Coordinate and schedule with project team and clients to ensure the timely completion of tasks.

Required skills:

- Able to undertake the aforementioned responsibilities.
- Strong design and graphic communication skills with careful attention to detail.
- Excellent understating of building systems, building code and urban design concepts.
- Software requirements include: AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, Maxwell (Revit and 3DS Max are a plus) Excellent organizational skills and able to manage time effectively.
- Able work independently and take initiative in response to direction.
- Able to ask the right questions and clearly delegate tasks.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently.

Experience & qualifications:

- Able to work in the USA.
- Fluent in English (excellent written and verbal skills).
- Professional degree in Architecture (or related design fields).
- 2-3 years of professional architectural experience.
