Henrybuilt is seeking a uniquely talented designer with interior architecture experience to be a core team member in our New York office.

At Henrybuilt, design solutions are technically and aesthetically advanced, but also well integrated into the architecture of the individual project. Our design approach is focused on creating an end result that will stand up formally and functionally to high use as well as changing living dynamics.

Unique to our practice is that we design and produce our own product. A senior designer will work on a variety of project types and will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the Henrybuilt product line and aesthetic direction.

The ideal candidate will have a substantial portfolio demonstrating a refined sensibility to address complex requirements in a way that results in strikingly simple but effective outcomes.

Strength in system thinking is a key requirement. It is essential that candidates are able to meet deadlines consistently and gracefully, balance work on multiple projects in various stages, and possess exceptional communication skills both verbally and in writing.

Minimum requirements:

- BA or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design from a highly regarded program.
- Minimum 5 years experience in an interior-focused architectural practice.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
- Demonstrated knowledge of interior design and construction.
- Industrial design experience is highly valued.
- Working knowledge of residential construction detailing, materials, methods and codes.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- High level of proficiency in AutoCAD and Sketchup.
- Portfolio required; Digital preferred.

Portfolios should focus on representing residential scaled projects and include photo documentation of completed work.
