We have immediate positions for Architect / Project Architect.
Your skills:
- Design ability is paramount for any position within the practice. We work as a complimentary team; you will excel at either technical or conceptual design or both.
- A passionate interest in architecture, its history, its technology and its future trends.
- A good standard of presentation, written and oral communication skills.
- Able to use CAD / Sketch up / Adobe packages to a high standard.
- Good hand drawing and sketching skills.
For the more experienced roles:
- Experience in highly contemporary and / or well considered traditional projects.
- Excellent technical detailing skills, demonstrated by example.
- Able to work independently and efficiently, with clients, consultants and contractors.

Ascher Davis Architects is a multidisciplinary architecture and interior design studio specializing in high-end residential, corporate, and institutional work. ADA is seeking talented and self-motivated candidates for two junior positions. This is an excellent, hands-on opportunity for the right applicant who will benefit greatly from being involved in all aspects of a dynamic environment. The applicant must be skilled and eager to become involved in all phases of the design and construction process, as well as general office operations and overall procedures.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of office experience, preferably in high-end residential production work.
- Bachelor of Architecture or Bachelor of Architecture Technology degree at minimum.
- Excellent AutoCAD drafting and 3D rendering skills (Sketch-up required, 3D Max and others a plus).
- Proficiency with graphics software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator are all required) and MS Office Suite & Project.
- Beginning knowledge of New York City Building Code and submittals process.
- Strong communication skills: verbal, written, and through drawings.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Drawing production, CAD work.
- CAD furniture plans.
- Presentation drawing production (CAD, hand drawing and rendering skills are important).
- Model production (model building skills are important).
- Job related research.
- Researching initial precedent images.
- Compiling materials and FF&E schedules based on direction given.
- General office managerial duties including but not limited to answering phones, messengering packages, organizing sample library, etc.
