This position requires a minimum of 8 years of dedicated experience in the interior design profession and a four year degree from an accredited interior design program.

Candidates should have experience leading multiple interior designers on multiple projects in a team environment. This is a leadership position that offers the opportunity to liaise with architectural co-workers on projects to create a seamless architectural / interior design product for our clients.

The position provides client contact in a management role representing the interior design team of five designers. Candidates should have an excellent design sense as well as experience in the practical aspects of the interior design profession.

We are a small but rapidly growing design office in Brooklyn. We have recently taken on new and very exciting projects (mostly residential with some commercial) that require us a larger team. It is an exciting and dynamic place to work. At times the atmosphere is high pressure, so we are looking for someone who is driven, self motivated and organized.

We seeking a junior level architect and /or interior designer to begin mid June.

Responsibilities and requirements include:

- At least 1 year professional experience in the industry or previous internship experience working on a construction document set.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including leadership, initiative, and strong verbal and written communication skills with clients and team members.
- Organizational skills: the ability to manage schedules, a heavy workload and co-ordinate work and schedules of consultants.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Suite is required.
- Proficiency in Rhino and SketchUp is a plus.
- Excellent hand drawing and sketching abilities are a must.
- Strong graphic sensibility and presentation skills.

Our ideal candidate will have a design sensibility that is fitted with the company and will work between multiple projects, working closely with the principal and project manager.
