James Wagman Architect, an award-winning New York City architecture firm, is seeking a talented, motivated architect or designer with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience for the position of Project Designer. The work will consist of design and detailing of high end residential homes. An interest and knowledge of green building practices, sustainability, and Passive House standards is a plus.

The candidate should have the following qualifications:

- Experience in detailing ground-up residential single-family, new construction and/or high end residential apartments/ town homes.
- Experience organizing & assembling construction documents.
- Ability to communicate effectively with consultants, clients, and contractors; experience coordinating work of consulting engineers.
- Strong communication, organizational and collaborative skills.
- General knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, etc.
- Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced and rigorous environment.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite programs.

We are seeking a smart, energetic, independent person to fill a Junior Architect position at our office in Chelsea. Applicants must have prior experience working in an office and show evidence of a passion for design. We are looking for someone with great communication skills who has graphic talent and is a self-starter with the ability to independently manage a broad range of tasks on time. The ideal candidate should have:

- 2-4 years of experience in all phases of design.
- B.Arch or M.Arch Professional degree.
- AutoCAD proficient.
- Rhino & V-Ray and physical model building proficiency.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator a must).
- Excellent communication skills; good people skills and a sense of humor a plus.
- Excellent conceptual, technical, and graphic skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the US and English fluency.
