The New York office of Richard Meier & Partners is looking for highly motivated Project Architect level individuals with 8-10+ years of work experience in Schematic Design through Construction Administration phases in high-rise residential projects and potentially others. RMP is an office with a staff of 50+, led by four Associate Partners and the Managing Partner.

Candidates will have a professional degree in architecture, very strong design sensibility cultivated in similar leading practices, proficiency in AutoCAD (Microstation is a plus), good technical experience and a thorough knowledge of Construction Documents, experience in Construction Administration, and demonstrated leadership experience. Previous experience with consulting engineer coordination, technical detailing, specification research, obtaining agency approvals and working with contractors is required.

Candidates will be responsible for developing details and providing design support in the preparation of Design Development and Construction Documents. A full range of communications skills is required, as the candidate is expected to manage projects, provide direction to the A/E Team through all phases of work. Previous experience in this described capacity is a requirement and preference is for candidates already experienced and based in the New York City area.

Essential skills & qualifications:

- Fluent in English, spoken and written (a second language is a plus).
- Strong design skills, client management and project coordination skills.
- Microstation, Revit, V-Ray, Rhino, Adobe Suite are assets.
- Experience from a leading American or International architecture office.
- Licensed and / or leed certification are assets.
- Has all legal permits and visas required to work in the United States.
