23/06/2015Scurr Architects are a well-established Architectural Practice based in Harpenden, Hertfordshire specialising in care, retail and restaurant sectors providing full architectural services from conception to completion. We are currently seeking a qualified Architect to work within our retail team.
The successful candidate will be confident, enthusiastic, with good communication skills and the following attributes:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential and Sketchup is preferred.
- Proficient in Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Good presentation skills.
- Knowledge and experience of the planning process.
- Technically proficient.
Salary is negotiable subject to status.

Senior Architect
23/06/2015My client an international multidisciplinary consultancy has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Architect to join their expanding team in Abu Dhabi.
Responsibilities:
- Design leadership in all aspects of design including production and construction techniques.
- Implement international codes and standards to design that relate to Architectural Engineering.
- Effective management of multiple projects to ensure each design review is carried out within the required time constraints and meets the expected quality of output.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
- 15 years’ experience.
- 10 years’ ICC code experience.
- Excellent knowledge & experience of the ICC & NFPA codes mandatory & ICC certified.
- Sound understanding of local building codes and building permit process in UAE.
- Ability to lead, manage and supervise staff on a day-to-day basis.
- Strong communication skills, good understanding of English and good written grammar.
- Arabic beneficial but not essential.
