Requirements for candidates:

- Strong design sense and technical construction ability.
- Extensive experience producing drawing sets (all phases) with an emphasis on construction detailing and construction documentation.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Design Suite (AutoCAD) and Adobe CS Suite.
- Experience with Revit required (other 3D modeling experience, such as Rhino, 3Ds Max, a plus).
- Self-motivation and the ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
- Good organization and communications skills.

Elemental Architecture is an award-winning full service practice with a diverse range of projects and seeks a Senior Architect for involvement in all phases of project design, documentation and administration.

Applicants should possess the following:

- Professional degree in Architecture.
- Registered Architect in New York State.
- 5-10 years of architectural project experience minimum.
- Strong knowledge of architectural design, drafting, detailing, building materials & principles, building codes, construction techniques and project administration practices.
- Superior AutoCAD skills and proficiency in 3D programs (Revit, Rhino, V-Ray, & Sketchup), Adobe Suite and project management software (e.g. MS Project).
- Be highly organized & detail oriented.
- Ability to proactively & effectively lead a project team.
- Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport with all levels of staff, clients, consultants and vendors.

Responsibilities include:

- Project Management of simultaneous projects of varying scales and be capable of leading projects through all phases of their development from schematics through completed construction.
- Review project contracts to identify deliverables, schedules, and project limitations.
- Works with Principal(s) in developing/determining project schedule, staffing needs, and financial projections relative to staffing to complete projects on budget.
- Researches/implements all applicable regulatory requirements for projects.
- Manages the preparation of contract documents and all required filings and submissions to regulatory agencies.
