Internationally renowned architecture & interior design firm Gabellini Sheppard Associates is seeking an intermediate to senior interior designer with 6+ years experience in interior design. Hospitality experience preferred. Experience in all phases preferred, from concept development through construction documents, and shop drawing review of millwork, and custom furniture, sourcing, furniture specifications, finishing, material specs, lighting and AV coordination, through construction administration. Necessary qualities include: attention to detail, good communication skills, ability to work in a collaborative studio environment, and coordinate with a team of consultants.

Our midsize studio designs a variety of commercial, residential, retail, hospitality and art projects internationally.

Foreign language a plus.

Strong concept development experience and modern/contemporary design sensibility preferred.

Proficiency in the following software a plus:

- Vectorworks.
- Adobe Indesign.
- Photoshop.
- Sketchup.
- Spexx (specifications software).
- Free-hand sketching.
- Rhino.
- 3DStudio Max.
Candidate should be located in the metro New York / New Jersey area. Must be a US citizen or have a valid work visa.
