March & White is a London based architectural and interior design company made up of a dynamic team of some thirty five Interior Designers and Architects in a flourishing practice. We have a wide ranging portfolio covering all sectors including high-end residential commissions, hotels, restaurants, commercial buildings and private members clubs.
We are looking to recruit a talented, experienced Architect to help grow our architecture division; you will be a qualified Architect with a minimum of 5 years post Part 3 experience. You must have experience working directly with clients, consultant teams and contractors, having taken several high end private residential projects from concept to completion.
You will enjoy managing a team of people, being highly organised and taking responsibility for a portfolio of projects, which would initially include both Private clients and established developers.
This role provides an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious Architect to move into a senior role within this growing design studio with the potential for fast promotion for the right candidate.
The successful candidate must have the following experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience.
- A proven track record working with private residential projects and listed buildings.
- Experience dealing with consultants, contractors and other specialists.
- Strong technical detailing skills.
- Knowledge of current building regulations and design guidelines/criteria for new build developments.
- Understanding of project requirements from Concept through Tender and Construction stages.
- Ability to manage a team and work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to manage time and work flow of projects efficiently.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- UK experience and London based.
- Knowledge of MicroStation and / or AutoCAD.
- Experience in multi-unit residential developments is a bonus.
Founded in 2007, Eric Chavoix Architects is a Mauritian based practice conceived as a "boutique architecture studio" which seeks a unique conceptual approach for each of the tailor-made projects developed closely with their clients.
Inspired by his Mauritian-French origins and following his formation at Atelier Jean Nouvel, Eric's work is a search for the alchemy of the contemporary and vernacular, pure minimalism and warm atmosphere, cutting edge detail and natural material craftsmanship.
From Mauritius, the studio team comprises 10 nationalities creating a dynamic environment, encouraging discourse and collaborating on a diverse range of project typologies and scales in the Indian Ocean, London, Paris, New York, Rio, St Barth, Capetown.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Architect who can demonstrate a rigorous sense of design and technical skill to join our Mauritius-based studio.
You will have expertise in all stages including production information and technical design and will be able to display excellent drawing, presentation and communication skills.
Involved on a range of exciting projects, you will be required to be involved throughout all stages of a project's cycle, from inception and sketch design to completion.
This is an opportunity to work in a collaborative and creative practice.
This is a full-time position available to start immediately.
Qualifications:
- Professional architecture degree & min. 5 years post part-III.
- +10 years design and construction experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and MS Office.
- Ability to effectively communicate with design team.
- Ability to efficiently prepare construction documents.
- Ability to manage projects independently and efficiently with minimum involvement by the Director.
- A good level of English, and preferably speaking knowledge of French.
Responsibilities:
- Brainstorm design concepts quickly and develop through multiple design stages.
- Produce drawings for all design phases, conceptual design through to construction documents.
- Produce materials for client presentations.
- Research local and international manufacturers' materials, systems and specifications.
- Coordinate design with all consultants, and construction teams.
